Flexibility Over Rigidity: A Lesson in Creative Problem-Solving

Yetty: Is this really correct, though? I beg to differ (as always 😜).

Simply recognising a problem is already part of the solution, especially if we intend to address it. The way we break a problem down often points us towards possible answers. After all, they say a problem shared is half solved! Do you get where I’m coming from? 😂 What do you think?

Ayo: I believe holding on to old thinking patterns can limit our ability to discover new solutions to the challenges we face. I’m reminded of a challenge I once attempted, where I chose to experiment with a different technique each time instead of sticking to my usual approach. That openness eventually led me to the solution. If I had been rigid, I might have struggled far longer.

Yetty: I see what you mean, but the way you first recognised the problem is what led you to think about finding an alternative solution, isn’t it? It comes down to breaking the problem into smaller pieces, that’s often what makes a better approach possible 🤷🏾‍♀️

Ayo: Stop confusing me 🥲.

Yetty: If I don't, who will? 😜

This week, try tackling one problem by discarding your usual method and experimenting with a new approach. Notice what shifts.

Just to see You

This morning was chaos in the most ridiculous, beautiful way.

This is for you - Part 2

She’s weak in the knees She pauses

Tired, stretched, challenged… but still here

The quote is in Yoruba-English.   Ayo: When people talk about resilience, they imagine it as this superhuman ability to never get tired, to keep going without breaking a sweat.
