Ojude Oba 2026: The Fashion, Culture and Beauty of Yoruba Heritage

Is there something I haven’t talked about enough on this blog yet?

I don’t think I’ve ever really talked about how much I love culture. More specifically, how much I love Yoruba culture.

There is just something incredibly beautiful about seeing people come together to celebrate who they are. Whether it’s a wedding, a naming ceremony, a party, or a cultural festival, Yoruba events always bring a special kind of energy. The colours. The music. The fashion. The confidence. The pride. It is always a spectacle.

And this year, Ojude Oba 2026 absolutely delivered.
Guys, if you haven’t already, go on Instagram and type #OjudeOba2026. Trust me. You will thank me later.
The fashion alone deserves its own award category. The outfits were stunning. The gele. The agbadas. The jewellery. The attention to detail. The creativity. Every single year, people somehow manage to outdo themselves, and this year was no exception.
But it wasn’t just the fashion.
It was the celebration of culture.
It was the music.

It was the unity.

It was seeing people proudly embracing their heritage and showcasing it for the world to see.

And can we talk about the accessories for a second? Some of those sunglasses were incredible. The styling was on another level. Every photo felt like it belonged in a luxury fashion magazine.

I’ve shared some of my favourite images from today’s celebrations. I don’t know most of the people in the photos personally. I simply came across the images and found myself completely captivated. The elegance, the confidence, the pride, the beauty—it was impossible not to admire.

What I love most is seeing how Ojude Oba continues to grow every year. What was already a major cultural event seems to get bigger, more influential, and more globally recognised with each passing year.

As a Yoruba woman, seeing our culture celebrated so boldly and beautifully fills me with pride.

I honestly cannot wait to see what everyone brings next year.

For now, enjoy the photos, enjoy the fashion, enjoy the culture, and if you want to see even more, head over to Instagram and search Ojude Oba 2026.

You are in for a treat.

With Love,
Ayo
