A few of months ago, my AirPods were still under warranty. One part wasn’t working properly, but I kept doing what we all do.
Postponing.
“I’ll sort it later.”
“I’ll go next week.”
“I’ll deal with it when I have time.”
Well… time ran out.
By the time I finally went to the store, the warranty had expired.
Just like that.
Just like that.
And when I got there?
£220.
For something that could have been fixed for free… if I had just gone earlier.
At that point, it didn’t even make sense to repair them. I could literally buy a new pair for that price.
Money gone… over something completely avoidable.
The Shift
After that experience, I changed how I handle anything under warranty.
Now? The moment I notice something even slightly off, I act.
In fact, today I took my AirPods in again because people kept telling me:
“You’re cutting in and out.”
“We can’t hear you properly.”
And instead of ignoring it, I went straight to get it checked before the warranty runs out.
The Real Reason This Happens
And the truth is, most people don’t use their warranty fully.
Not because they don’t need it…
But because they delay, forget, or feel like the issue isn’t “serious enough” to fix.
Your Cue to Check Everything
This is your reminder.
Check everything you own that’s still under warranty:
* Your blender
* Your electronics
* Your appliances
* Anything you’ve bought recently
If something isn’t working properly, even slightly
Go and get it fixed.
And Please… Don’t Feel Shy
I had someone tell me recently that they felt embarrassed going back to a store multiple times for warranty issues.
Absolutely not.
If it’s under warranty, you’re not being difficult, you’re being responsible.
Go once.
Go twice.
Go again if you need to.
And if you don’t want to go back to the same store?
Go to another branch. Simple.
Final Thought
Warranties expire quietly.
The cost of ignoring them doesn’t.
So before another week passes, take 10 minutes and check your stuff.
It could save you hundreds.
Quick one, what’s one thing you’ve been postponing that you know you need to sort?
With Love
Ayo
