Learning Is a Lifestyle: How to Identify Your Gaps and Level Up Intentionally

Somewhere on a beach in Spain, with my feet in the sea, I had a moment of reflection.
Not just about rest… but about growth.

Because the truth is:

Growth doesn’t happen by accident.
It’s intentional.
It’s consistent.
And most importantly, it’s a lifestyle.

Let’s talk about it.

The Reality About Growth

A while ago, I shared a post about The Making of a Manager and one thing stayed with me:

Growth starts with identifying your gaps.

Not what you’re good at.
Not what people praise you for.

But the things you’re not yet good at.

That’s where the real work begins.

Step 1: Know Your Role (Career or Business)

If you’re in a 9–5, start with your job description.

What were you actually hired to do?

Go through it line by line and ask yourself:
Can I confidently do this?
Am I doing it well?
Or am I just getting by?

If you don’t have your job description, ask your line manager.

That document alone will reveal your gaps.

Step 2: Be Honest About Your Gaps

Let’s be real.

Sometimes during interviews, we “sell” ourselves a little extra 😅
But once you’re in the role… reality checks you.

And that’s okay.

Because growth isn’t about pretending.

It’s about correcting.

Step 3: Invest in Yourself (This Is Where Most People Fail)

Here’s the difference between people who grow and people who stay stuck:

👉🏽 One group consumes free content.
👉🏽 The other group invests in structured learning.

When I started my events business, someone told me:

“You can learn everything on YouTube.”

And yes, I can.

But I knew early on… I wasn’t that girl.

Because YouTube gives you:
Information

But paid learning gives you:
Structure
Access
Updated techniques
Real-time feedback
Proximity to excellence

So I invested.

Courses.
Mentorship.
Communities.
Training programs.

And every time I outgrew one level
I moved to the next.

Step 4: Pay Now or Pay Later

Let me break this down simply:

If your product is “good”… but someone else’s is better…

You have two options:
1. Stay where you are
2. Learn how to level up

If someone is making better pies than you
pay them and learn.

Because what does it cost you not to?
Stagnant pricing
Limited clients
Missed opportunities

Growth requires investment.

Step 5: Make Learning a Lifestyle

This isn’t something you do once.
It’s how you live.

Whether you are:
A baker
A creative
A corporate professional
A business owner

There is always someone ahead of you.
And instead of watching them…

👉🏽 Learn from them.

🌊 Final Thought

Right now, as I sit here with my legs in the sea…
This is your reminder:

Don’t just work.
Don’t just earn.
Don’t just exist.

Grow. Intentionally. Relentlessly. Consistently.

Because the life you want?

It’s on the other side of the gaps you’re avoiding.

With Love,
