Still Haven’t Hit Your Goals? Here’s the Real Reason Why

So it’s the end of March…

And you might be asking yourself:

“How has another month gone by and I’ve still not achieved the things I said I would this year?”


Let me tell you something honestly.

It’s not because you don’t know what to do.

And it’s not because you’re not capable.


There’s a different reason.


The Real Reason You’re Not Hitting Your Goals

You’re not breaking things down enough.

And you’re relying too much on motivation instead of discipline.

Because let’s be real…

Most of us:

Write a long list of goals

Feel excited at the beginning

And then get overwhelmed when it’s time to actually do the work


And once it feels overwhelming?

We delay. We avoid. We postpone.


Let Me Show You What Actually Works

This past week, I had three major deliverables.


Not small tasks.

The kind that mentally drain you before you even start.


By Saturday, I rewarded myself with Netflix and Chill😜

Now imagine if I had tried to do everything in one go…

I wouldn’t have finished anything.


What I Did Instead

1. I Broke Everything Down

I used AI to split the workload across the week:

Monday

Tuesday

Wednesday

Thursday

Friday

Each day had specific tasks. Nothing vague. Nothing overwhelming.


2. I Scheduled My Time

I set a fixed time:

7pm – 10pm

That was my work block.


Not “if I feel like it.”

Not “if I have time.”


It was decided.


3. I Chose Discipline Over Motivation

This is the part most people struggle with.

When 7pm came:

I didn’t negotiate

I didn’t delay

I didn’t overthink

I just started.

Because if you wait to feel ready, you’ll keep waiting.


4. I Delivered Everything by Friday

And here’s the interesting part…

The deadline was mine.

No one was chasing me.

But I still got it done.


So What Should You Do Differently?

If you really want to start hitting your goals:


Break it down properly

Yearly → Monthly → Weekly → Daily


Assign a time

Pick a time you know you’ll show up for.


Stick to it

No matter how you feel.


Final Truth

You don’t need better goals.

You need:

A better system

Clear structure

And discipline


Because once you master those…

You won’t just set goals.

You’ll actually achieve them.
