Honestly, I can’t even hide how excited I am.
I get to see my brother and his kids, my cousin and her children, and friends. We’re all meeting up at the Edinburgh Christmas Market, which, if you’ve never been, is an absolute must. The lights, the buzz, the laughter… It’s just one of those places that makes you feel alive.
I’m also planning to do the walk up Arthur’s Seat this time (yes, I’m claiming it now 😄), squeeze in a few solo adventures, and of course, stop by the House of Edinburgh for their shortbread, because listen, that shortbread? Elite. Absolutely elite. And the locally made drinks, too. Slightly pricey, but always worth it.
I’ll be in Edinburgh for a couple of weeks, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what the city has in store for me this time around.
I created a little playlist for the journey. Click the Edinburgh playlist, and enjoy.
A Little Testimony
Now, let me share something with you, especially for anyone who has been trusting God for something big.
Back in November, I was praying a lot. As I usually do, I wrote out a prayer list. And honestly? Some of the things on that list were huge. The kind of prayers that make you pause and think,
“God… am I being too bold?”
But here’s my rule:
If I don’t feel like I’m robbing God, then the prayer isn’t big enough.
Some of those things on that list were things I had never received from God before. Not because He isn’t faithful, but because they were new levels, new asks, new faith.
And then one day, Wednesday, I was in the cinema watching a movie. Without spoiling it, there was this little boy who didn’t believe, and something about that moment hit me. I closed my eyes and said:
“God, You’re still in the habit of doing miracles.
I trust You.
I need you to work on this prayer list.
I need everything on it before the end of 2025.”
I said it boldly.
I said it without fear.
And then… I forgot about it.
Today, while sitting in my office working, I recieved an email. And just like that, the number one thing on that prayer list, the most important one, God handled it.
Not the way I expected.
Not the way I imagined.
But perfectly.
And I just sat there, grateful. Deeply grateful.
God Is Still in the Habit of Doing Miracles
Let me remind you of this:
God is still in the habit of lifting.
God is still in the habit of healing.
God is still in the habit of creating visibility.
God is still in the habit of putting a smile on your face.
If you can’t trust anything else, you can trust God.
Sometimes we ask,
“If God is real, why did this bad thing happen?”
But often, those hard moments are the very things that prepare us for what’s coming next. Without them, we wouldn’t learn. We wouldn’t grow. We wouldn’t be ready.
One story that really stayed with me this week was Daniel and King Darius. Whether or not Daniel believed he would be saved, King Darius did. He believed because he had already seen God move in Daniel’s life. And God did it. He shut the mouths of the lions.
So whatever you’re going through, just key into this moment.
Trust God.
He will do it.
If you don’t have a prayer list yet, pause for a second. Close your eyes and say:
“Lord, I trust You with this.”
And trust me, He will meet you there.
I wish you the most beautiful weekend.
I’ll be sharing all my Edinburgh updates, my little jokes, my little moments, and everything in between.
Have a lovely Saturday.
With Love,
Ayo ♡
