The Quick Autumn Habit That Keeps Me Healthy

As autumn rolls in, it’s the perfect time to pause and think about your health.

The cooler months bring with them not just falling leaves and cosy evenings, but also the flu season and the continued need to stay protected against COVID-19.
Flu viruses change each year. The vaccine is updated annually to target the most common strains.

Why the Flu Jab Matters Every Year

You might wonder: why do I need to get the flu jab every year?

  • Your immunity fades. Even if you had the jab last year, your protection won’t last forever.
  • It reduces the risk of serious illness. For many, the flu is an unpleasant but manageable condition. But for others, including children, the elderly, and people with underlying conditions, it can be dangerous.
  • It helps protect others. By reducing your own risk of catching flu, you’re also lowering the chances of passing it on.

That’s why I wanted to share a gentle reminder today: book your vaccines. It only takes a few minutes to book, but it can make all the difference in protecting yourself and your loved ones.

Booking Your Vaccines

If you’re in the UK, you can easily book your flu and COVID-19 vaccines through the NHS website or at your local pharmacy. Parents can also book for their children ages 0-4. For those outside the UK, check your local health services for availability; most countries have multiple outlets where you can book.
I’ve just booked mine for next week. It feels good to know I’m doing something simple but important for my well-being.

Take Care of Yourself This Season

We can’t control the weather or the bugs going around, but we can take steps to protect ourselves. Vaccines are one of the easiest, most effective ways to do that. So wherever you are in the world, take a few minutes today to get your vaccines booked. Your future self (and your loved ones) will thank you.
Stay safe, stay well, and take care of yourself this autumn.

Just to see You

This morning was chaos in the most ridiculous, beautiful way.

This is for you - Part 2

Tired, stretched, challenged… but still here

The quote is in Yoruba-English.   Ayo: When people talk about resilience, they imagine it as this superhuman ability to never get tired, to keep going without breaking a sweat.
