5 Hopeless Romantic Songs on Repeat This Week | My Current Love Playlist

If you know me, you already know this about me.
I’m hopelessly romantic.
I love love. I love songs that make you smile for no reason. Songs that make long drives feel like movie scenes. Songs that remind you that being soft isn’t a weakness, it can actually be a beautiful way to experience life.

So as I head into a new week, these are the five songs that will definitely be on repeat.

1. Now and Always – Kotrell
This song has completely stolen my heart.
There’s something incredibly gentle about it. It’s the kind of song that makes you pause whatever you’re doing just to listen. It’s calm, heartfelt, and beautifully written.

I’ve been playing it over and over, and I honestly don’t think I’m tired of it yet.

2. Again – Dwin, The Stoic
Some songs don’t need to be loud to make you feel something.

Again is one of those songs.

It’s smooth, emotional, and somehow manages to say so much without trying too hard. Every time it comes on, I find myself letting it play all the way through.
No skipping.

3. Found – Jacob Banks
This song lived on repeat for me all through last week.
And judging by how often I’ve played it already, it’s coming with me into this new week too.

Jacob Banks has a way of making every lyric feel honest, and Found is one of those songs that simply stays with you long after it ends.

4. Ifé (In Love) – Tchella
I’ve loved this song for a while now.

There’s just something about it that fits my mood perfectly at the moment.
I’m walking into this week carrying love energy.

Not necessarily romantic love alone, but choosing kindness, joy, gratitude, hope, and softness wherever I go. This song captures that feeling for me.

5. Fall in Love – D’banj
Now this one?

Pure nostalgia.

Every time I hear it, I’m transported back to when I was younger and just beginning to discover the kind of music I genuinely enjoyed.

It also reminds me of one of my favourite actresses, Genevieve Nnaji, which somehow makes the song even more special to me.

Some songs never really get old.
They simply become memories you can replay.

My Playlist for the Week

I’ve realised I don’t really have a set driving playlist anymore.

Some mornings I wake up, get ready, jump in the car, and whatever feels right is what I play.

But these five songs?
They’re definitely making the cut this week.

If you’re someone who loves romance, appreciates beautiful lyrics, or simply wants music that leaves you feeling lighter, happier, and a little more in touch with your emotions, I’d genuinely recommend giving these a listen.

Sometimes the right song is all you need to make an ordinary drive, an ordinary afternoon, or an ordinary week feel just a little more special.

Now I’d love to hear from you.

What’s one song that’s been on repeat for you recently? I’m always looking for new music, so leave your recommendations in the comments. I might just discover my next favourite. 🎵

With Love,
Ayo
