Five Things I Absolutely Loved This Week (+ One Thing I Regret Buying!)

Hi guys,

I thought it would be fun to start ending my weeks by sharing five things I’ve absolutely loved. Life can get so busy that we often forget to stop and appreciate the little moments that made us smile.

So here are mine.
1. The Heat ☀️
I know… I know!

This is probably the most controversial thing I’m going to say because everyone seems to be complaining that it’s too hot.

Meanwhile, all I can think about is Nigeria.

The funny thing is, in temperatures much hotter than this, people are still wearing full suits to work!

I’ve always believed that heat and even cold is partly a state of mind. If I keep telling myself it’s unbearably hot, then every little thing feels hotter. I treat cold exactly the same way.

It might be a silly theory, but it’s worked for me over the years. So yes… I’ve absolutely loved every bit of this sunshine.

2. A Worship Song That Changed My Thursday ❤️
This week wasn’t an easy one.

Then on Thursday morning, I spent some time worshipping.
That one moment completely changed the direction of my day.

I can’t even explain how refreshed I felt afterwards. It was like my strength had been renewed. I suddenly had clarity, motivation, and the energy to tackle everything that needed doing.

Sometimes all we really need is to spend time in God’s presence.

3. I Finally Bought My Work Bag 🎉
After months of looking…
I finally bought it!

It’s a beautiful blue bag from Rains.

What’s funny is that I’m not usually a blue girl.
But recently I’ve noticed everything I’m buying seems to be blue.

My travel mug is blue.
My new work bag is blue.
I’ve recently worn a blue dress to work.
I even wore a blue native outfit recently.

Apparently blue has quietly become my colour this season, and I’m absolutely here for it.
Now I just need the bag to arrive!

4. My New Chinos
Another purchase!

My favorite girl picked up these gorgeous chinos and said,
“We should twin.”
Naturally… I agreed.

I haven’t collected them from the store yet because this heat has made me postpone the trip a few times, but I already know I’m going to love them because they’re completely my style.

Now I’m already thinking about all the different ways I’m going to style them.

5. Watching Oliver Compete at Athletics
This was definitely one of the highlights of my week.

I shared a little about his long jump, but he also did brilliantly in his sprint and hurdles.

Watching him grow in confidence and enjoy athletics has honestly been one of my favourite parts of this season.

Bonus: One Thing I Absolutely Regret Buying 😂
Mango ice cream.
Never again.

I absolutely love eating fresh mango.

But mango juice?
No.

Mango ice lollies?
No.

Mango ice cream?
Absolutely not.

I finished it because I’m not about to waste food…
But let’s just say that purchase will not be making a return anytime soon!

What are five things you’ve loved this week?
I’d genuinely love to hear yours in the comments.

I love seeing you so happy, Abii❤
