5 Things I Absolutely Loved This Week: Inspiration, Chocolate, Faith and Little Joys

Hi guys,

It’s been one of those weeks where I’ve found myself appreciating the little things, the unexpected things, and the things that simply brought me joy. So I thought I’d share five things I’ve absolutely loved this week.

1. Sending a Message I Wish I’d Sent Years Ago

The first thing I’ve loved this week was finally sending a message to someone I’ve admired for a very long time.

I’ve known of her for about six years. Not in a close-friends kind of way, but in the way that you see someone every now and then and quietly admire who they are.

Whenever I think of her, one word comes to mind: Smiley.

She’s always smiling. Always cheerful. Always bubbly. Always full of warmth.

But beyond that, she’s a powerhouse.

This week, I read more about her journey and where she started from. Suddenly, it all made sense. It reminded me why I’d always found her inspiring.

So I sent her a message.

I told her all the things I wish I’d had the opportunity to tell her over the years.

And honestly, it felt good.

Who knows? Maybe one day our paths will cross in a shopping centre somewhere and I’ll get the chance to tell her those things face-to-face. If that ever happens, it would be an absolute pleasure.

2. Office Romance and Jennifer Lopez Being Jennifer Lopez
I finally watched Office Romance, and if there’s one thing Jennifer Lopez never fails to deliver, it’s Jennifer Lopez.

Whenever I see she’s in a movie, I already know what I’m signing up for.

Fashion.

Beautiful outfits.

Romance.

A little bit of drama.

Possibly a few tears.

And she delivered exactly what I expected.

Some actors have a particular magic about them, and Jennifer Lopez has always been one of those people for me.

3. My Nails Are Back

A few months ago, I told you guys I wanted to stop fixing my nails because they were affecting one of my production lines for my canapé business.

At the time, it made sense.

So I stopped.

Then I substituted the habit with eyelashes.

Well… after consistently attaching lashes, I seem to have successfully reduced the number of lashes I naturally own!

At some point I had to be honest with myself.

I genuinely love having my nails done.

I love how they look.
I love how they make me feel.

So this week I sat down at the nail salon and officially welcomed my nails back into my life.
No regrets.

4. M&S Outrageously Chocolatey BourBon Creams

Guys.

These things are dangerous.
Absolutely dangerous.

The M&S Outrageously Chocolatey Milk Chocolate Coated BourBon Creams are ridiculously good.

I finished an entire pack in one sitting.

Do I feel sorry for my stomach?

Maybe.
Would I do it again?
Definitely.

The funny thing is that they reminded me of one of my favourite treats from The Ice Cream Farm: Rocky Road ice cream.

If you’ve never been to The Ice Cream Farm, don’t worry about the activities.
Go for the ice cream.

Rocky Road is my absolute favourite. The combination of chocolate, marshmallows, and all the little bits hidden inside is perfection.

Raspberry Ripple is another favourite of mine.

Honestly, every flavour I’ve tried has been good, but Rocky Road remains undefeated.

5. Being Intentional About My Spiritual Life

At the beginning of June, I told myself I wanted to be more intentional about my spiritual life.

May felt like a rollercoaster.

Life was busy.
Work was busy.
Business was busy.

And I didn’t feel as connected spiritually as I normally like to be.

I miss those random moments during the day when prayer just naturally happens.

The moments when I’m running simulations at work, doing something repetitive, listening to worship music in the background, or following a Koinonia service while I work.

I love those moments.

I love feeling connected to God throughout my day rather than only at specific times.

This week, I’ve been listening to Minister Dunsin Oyekan, spending more time in worship, praying more intentionally, and simply enjoying the presence of God.

And honestly?

I’ve loved every minute of it.

Over To You
Those are five things I’ve absolutely loved this week.

Now tell me yours.

What’s one thing or five things you’ve genuinely enjoyed this week?

I’d love to hear all about it.

With Love,
Ayo

If this post resonated with you, share it with one person stepping into something new this month. We have a 10k goal. Let’s make it happen.
