AMVCA 2026 Best Dressed: 10 Nigerian Celebrity Looks I Absolutely Loved

We are talking about style.
We are talking about design.
We are talking about being LOUD.

And Nigerians?
Oh, Nigerians are VERY good at it 😭🔥

If you haven’t seen the looks from the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards 2026 yet, please… where have you been?

Every single year, they raise the bar.
And this year?

They absolutely did not come to play.

I’m only picking five women and five men whose looks personally stood out to ME because honestly, there were SO many incredible outfits this year.

But let’s start with my number one:

Osas Ighodaro
Custom by VeeKee James
GOODNESS.

Osas looked absolutely stunning in a design by Veekee James.

And what I love most is that this partnership has been consistently incredible for years now. Different concepts. Different silhouettes. Different storytelling every single time.

And this year?
She looked like an actual princess 😭

My second favourite has to be Chioma Good Hair.
Custom by Amy Aghomi
If you know Chioma, then you already know:
fashion is her thing.

She NEVER looks unfinished.
Ever.
Custom by Amy
I absolutely loved the gold detailing and the structure of the outfit. African designers are genuinely pushing fashion boundaries right now and it’s beautiful to witness.

Third on my list?
Nana Akua Addo
OH MY GOSH 😭
The structure.
The layering.
The drama.
Custom by Abbas Woman
You can literally SEE the effort and craftsmanship in these designs. Every year, designers are trying to outdo themselves creatively and honestly? I love seeing African fashion evolve like this.

Fourth on my list is Kiekie.
Now listen…
I’m not always obsessed with every look KieKie wears.

BUT THIS ONE???

Absolutely beautiful on her.
Her designer deserves their flowers because this look suited her SO well.

And my number five? Deyemi Okanlawon
The reason he made this list is simple:
THE DETAILING 😭🔥
Custom by Deji and Kola
I absolutely loved the beading at the top of the outfit. It added so much structure and richness without doing too much.

And the shoes?
Perfect choice.

Now, I’m not even usually a huge fan of red…
but this look?
STUNNING.

My number six has to go to,  Nomzamo Mbatha.(Pictures…Incoming)
OH. MY. GOSH 😭🔥
This look?

ART.

The dress was inspired by the city of Lagos and honestly, you could FEEL it immediately.

The structure.
The detailing.
The wiring.
The electronics woven into the design.

Everything about it felt intentional.

And maybe because I come from an electronics background, this outfit hit me differently 😭

The designer managed to capture what Lagos feels like:
the noise,
the movement,
the chaos,
the energy,
the electricity of the city…

all in one dress.

THAT is creativity.

That’s the kind of fashion I love the most, the kind that tells a story before the person even speaks.

Absolutely amazing.
Absolutely unforgettable!!!!

And the craziest thing?
These are African designers (Nigerians) doing all of this.

The talent?
Insane.

And the best part is you genuinely do not have to be in Nigeria to work with them. Most of these designers ship internationally, travel frequently, and will literally bring your vision to life wherever you are in the world.

African fashion designers are NOT playing anymore 🔥

And honestly?
This is me proudly marketing every single one of them 😭✨

I’ll keep updating this list as more AMVCA looks drop because whew…
the fashion this year was unbelievable.

With Love
A fashion Princess(Ayo)
