There’s something so beautiful about slowing down and paying attention to the little things that made your week feel good.
Not the big achievements.
Not the dramatic moments.
Just the tiny things that made you smile randomly during the day.
So here are five things I absolutely loved this week and honestly? I’ll probably be carrying all of them into next week too 😄
1. “I Call It Love” - Lionel Richie
If you know me, then you already know…
I am an absolute sucker for love songs ðŸ˜
And on wednesday this week?
“I Call It Love” by Lionel Richie has been permanently stuck in my head.
“I look at you, you look at me…
you can’t tell me you ain’t feeling butterflies 🦋
It’s obvious there’s some chemistry ”
I don’t even know what’s going on anymore 😄
At this point, I genuinely want to turn it into a fun little game:
90s lyrics only.
No Google.
Just vibes 😄
2. The Modern Wisdom Podcast Episode That Made Me Think
On Wednesday morning while getting ready for work, I listened to an episode called:
“How To Have The Hardest Conversation Of Your Life” featuring Jefferson Fisher
And honestly?
It really made me reflect on communication.
The episode talked about how to navigate difficult conversations without making people feel attacked, misunderstood, or dismissed.
It made me stop and think:
Do I actually communicate well?
I’d like to think I do.
But I also know there’s always room to grow.
One thing I constantly try to do is evolve into a better human for the people around me. So if I’ve ever communicated badly, misunderstood someone, or failed to express myself properly, I always want to learn from it and improve.
Growth matters to me.
A lot.
3. My Transparent Bag 😄
I’ve absolutely loved my transparent bag this week.
I wore it to work.
I wore it to church.
And honestly?
You’ll probably be seeing it on me all summer long 😄
I’ve always loved the idea of transparent bags because there’s something fun about them. It’s stylish without trying too hard.
But the biggest win for me?
The size.
I cannot carry heavy bags for long periods of time.
If it starts weighing too much, I’m immediately stressed ðŸ˜
So finding one that’s lightweight, practical, stylish and actually fits my lifestyle?
Perfect.
4. Friendship & Meaningful Conversations
One thing I’ll never stop appreciating is genuine friendship.
Friendship is deeply important to me.
This week, I spent time with my friend at work and honestly, it was one of my favourite moments of the week.
We ended up sitting in a boardroom with our food and unintentionally created this little safe space where we just talked about life, work, random thoughts, growth… everything.
No distractions.
No rushing.
Just conversation.
5. Watching TV Again ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Okay…
I think I’ve officially become a TV person now ðŸ˜
And honestly?
Maybe I’m watching a little too much of it 😄
I recently started watching Legends on Netflix and I’ve absolutely loved it.
Without giving too much away, there’s this customs officer character who completely changes his persona, and watching that transformation has been so interesting to me.
You can literally see how much he starts enjoying life more once he steps outside of who he used to be.
He goes from this guy stuck in a boring, predictable routine…
to someone exciting, confident, and completely transformed.
And honestly?
I related to that deeply.
Because your persona changes everything.
Also…
the Brits absolutely did their thing with this one 😄
If you’re doing absolutely nothing this weekend and you want something interesting to watch, I genuinely recommend it.
Final Thoughts
So those are five things I absolutely loved this week.
Music.
Friendship.
Growth.
Good conversations.
And now apparently…
British TV 😄
Sometimes joy really is hidden in the simplest things.
Now I want to know:
What are five things you absolutely loved this week or the one thing that you’re taking into your new week?
I hope you have a lovely weekend and a truly restful one.
With Love,
Ayo
