Some Met Gala 2026 Looks I Absolutely Loved (Best Pieces & Standout Moments)

So… the Met 26, I couldn’t stop looking at the details.

And honestly?
You already know I had to tune in.

I’m a fashion girl through and through. I love the drama, the storytelling, the pressure of getting it right. It’s that one night where fashion isn’t just about looking good… it’s about making a statement.

It’s the night where:
* The glam teams don’t sleep
* The concepts go all the way
* And nobody wants to be the one that gets it wrong.

Everyone shows up to be seen. To be remembered.
And I live for it.

But let me just say this before we get into it
I’m not here to criticise anyone, this isn’t that type of list.

If you’re looking for a breakdown of who got it wrong, what didn’t work, or who missed the mark…
this is not that.

This is just me picking out pieces I genuinely loved.
The details that stood out to me.
The moments that made me pause.

So if you’re here for that?

Sit back… you’re in for a ride.

And trust me… some of these details. You probably missed them.

Let’s get into it.

1. Naomi Osaka - The Statement Hat

Now this?
This is what I call a statement piece from Robert Wun.

I don’t even need to talk about the full outfit
the hat did everything it needed to do.

It was bold. Structured. Dramatic.
And it knew exactly what it was doing.

You could tell it was custom, and honestly?
That’s what made it even better.

This is the kind of piece that doesn’t try to blend in.
It makes you look twice.

And I love that.

2. Keke Palmer - The Diamond Necklace

That necklace from Wempe?
Absolutely stunning.
The moment I saw it, I paused. I couldn’t see anything else.

The diamonds, the presence, the way it sat on her neck
it didn’t just complement the look… it carried it.

And what I loved most?

It’s one of those pieces that could be worn again and again,
on completely different outfits… and still stand out every single time.

That’s when you know it’s special.

3. Ciara - The Sunglasses

Ciara had a whole gold moment going on…
But for me?

It was the sunglasses.

Those Balenciaga glasses stood out instantly.
Sharp. Clean. Intentional.
It’s such a small detail but it changed the entire feel of the look.
That’s the kind of styling I pay attention to.

Because anyone can wear an outfit…
But not everyone can finish it properly.

4. Haikey Beiber — The Gold Corset Detail

I loved the upper part of this look.
That gold corset/top? YSL 1969

Beautiful.

And what made it even more interesting is how timeless it felt
like something pulled from a classic collection, but still very current.

It actually reminded me of  Fisayo Longe founder of Kai Collection traditional wedding, she wore a similar style

That connection between culture and high fashion?

Yeah… I noticed that.
And I loved it.

5. Kim Kardashian - The Heels

Now let’s talk about the shoes.
Because for me, when it comes to heels?

It’s always about the height.

And those?
Perfect.

Classic Christian Louboutin.
High. Sharp. Clean.
They just added that extra level of confidence to the entire look.
Sometimes it’s not even about being loud…

It’s about being exactly right.

Closing
These are some of the pieces that stood out to me so far.

And the thing is…
there are still so many more looks unfolding.

I didn’t stay up all night watching everything (real life is real life 😄),
but from what I’ve seen?

There’s a lot to talk about.
So yes… we’re definitely doing a Part 2.

Because this year?
Fashion showed up.

With Love,
Ayo

Stop Thinking Small About Your Life

Whenever people ask questions about purpose, I often find myself returning to this chapter. Because before we start asking what we are meant to do, perhaps we need to remember who we were created to be.  We are created in God’s Image
