April Self-Care Haul: 5 Things I Bought to Feel Like a Baby Girl (No Regrets)

April, for me, is different.

I’m indulging 😛.
Caution in the wind 😂😂.
Not because I stopped chasing my goals, I didn’t.
Q1 was intense, focused, disciplined.

But in April, I made a conscious decision to slow down just enough to enjoy the life I’m building.

This month wasn’t about practicality.
It was about feeling good.
Feeling soft.
Feeling like a baby girl, honestly.

So here are five things I bought in April not because I needed them, but because I deserved them.

1. Dior Foundation (Yes… I Went Back)

I already know what you’re thinking.

“Dior? In this economy?”

Listen… I ran away from Dior at some point because it felt a bit above my comfort zone price-wise. I switched to more “reasonable” matte foundations but let’s be honest…

Nothing was doing it like Dior.

The finish?
The skin feel?
The way it just sits?

Unmatched.

Sometimes, you just go back to what works. And for me, Dior works.

This one is very personal.

I’m very particular about how my hands feel, my palms, my fingers, everything. Not even for anyone else, just for me.

I love that hydrated, soft, almost silky feeling.

So yes, I picked up a new body butter from Lush, and it’s doing exactly what I need it to do.

Soft life includes soft hands. Period.

3. 3D Lashes (Because I Like Control)

Now let’s talk lashes.

I’ve tried the whole “lash technician” experience before, and honestly? It’s not for me.

Day 1 and 2? Beautiful.
By Day 3? Chaos.

And don’t even get me started on not being able to properly wash my face. That alone is enough for me to opt out.

I like clean.
I like freedom.

So I went for 3D lashes instead, easy, removable, and fully on my terms.

4. Dior Foaming Cleanser

Skincare is not just about results, it’s about experience.

This cleanser?

It smells incredible.
It feels luxurious.
Turns a basic routine into a moment.

And honestly, those little daily experiences?
They matter more than I admit.

5. Aphrodisiac Touch by Unique’e (This Perfume?? Dangerous.)

People are not ready for this perfume.

It’s bold.
It’s addictive.
It enters the room before you do.

I had options, (and yes, my eyes are still on my next purchase because let’s be honest, one perfume is never enough),

But this?

Worth it.

And to my best friend that says,
“Why not invest in gold instead?”

Listen…

Gold will sit in a vault.

But the right perfume?
It will walk you into rooms, turn heads, start conversations.

So yes… I’ll keep buying my perfumes.

Bonus: Something Practical (But Still a Win)

Not everything this month was indulgent.

I also signed up for a Free government-funded course and honestly, this is something I think more people should take advantage.

If you’re building a business or trying to grow in your career, these courses are such a hidden gem.

Up to 10 a year.

Free knowledge? That’s the kind of investment we love.

Final Thoughts

April reminded me of something important:

Not everything has to be about productivity.
Not everything has to make sense on paper.

Sometimes,
you’re allowed to just… enjoy your life.

Spend the money… drink garri later 😜

So yes, this is my “baby girl” month.
And I have zero regrets.

Let’s Talk

What did you buy in April that made you happy, practical or not?
Because honestly… those are the purchases that matter the most.

With Love,
Baby girl (Ayo)💅❤
