For the longest time, I’ve wanted to share the books and podcasts that have shaped me, not just the ones I’ve read or listened to once, but the ones I keep going back to.
Because here’s the truth:
I don’t believe in “read it once and move on.”
If something truly resonates with me, I revisit it. I highlight it. I write in it. I sit with it. And then… I go back again.
That’s where the real lessons are.
So today, I’m sharing 5 books and 5 podcasts that I genuinely love, the ones I return to over and over again.
And yes… I’m slightly cringing sharing this because I always feel like I need to come across “serious” when I talk about things like this.
But the truth?
I’m serious and chaotic. And both get a say here.
📚 My Top 5 Books (That I Revisit Again and Again)
1. Untamed - Doyle
This book is freedom in written form. It challenges everything you’ve been taught about who you should be and invites you to come back to who you truly are.
2. The 5AM Club - Robin Sharma
Structure, discipline, and intentional mornings. This book pushed me to rethink how I start my day and how much that impacts everything else.
3. The Bible
Honestly, this should be first. It’s not just a book. it’s guidance, correction, comfort, and clarity all in one. No matter how many times I read it, I always find something new.
4. The Greatness Mindset" by Lewis Howes (2023)
A reminder that growth is a process. Not instant. Not perfect. But always worth it.
5. Atomic Habits - James Clear
Tiny changes, massive results. This is one of those books that you don’t just read, you apply, revisit, and refine over time.
🎧 My Top 5 Podcasts (My Real Go-To List)
Okay… deep breath 😅
These are my actual favourites.
I love how intentional his conversations are. Nothing feels chaotic. It’s thoughtful, structured, and always leaves me with something to reflect on.
One of my favourite episodes was his interview with Emma Watson, powerful, grounded, and honest.
2. Love Life with Matthew Hussey
This one? It validates things people are too afraid to say out loud.
In a world full of confusing relationship “rules,” it’s refreshing to hear something that actually makes sense. I don’t agree with everything but a good 70% resonates deeply.
3. Brains On (For Kids… but also for me 😄)
I listen to this with my son on the school run, and it’s honestly one of my favourites.
It answers the kind of questions children ask and somehow keeps me learning too. Plus, it gives us something to talk about together.
Mel is practical. Real. Actionable.
One thing I learned from her?
If you go to the same place regularly (like a café), you naturally build community.
I didn’t go to a café, I used the train instead.
And it worked.
Now I see familiar faces every Wednesday. That one idea genuinely changed something in my life.
5. Bible Before Breakfast - Mildred Kingsley Okonkwo
This is my quiet place.
Short, calm, grounding. About 15–20 minutes of reflection that helps you centre yourself before the day begins.
If you’re building your faith or just need clarity, peace, or direction, this is it.
Bonus: What I’m Currently Listening To
Recently, I’ve been watching a powerful creative session by Funke Akindele and when I say powerful, I mean powerful.
It’s long (about 9 hours in total), but the clips alone have been incredibly insightful, especially if you’re a creative or building something of your own.
Definitely worth tapping into.

Final Thoughts
This is your reminder:
Don’t just consume.
Return. Reflect. Relearn.
The things that change your life won’t always be new. Sometimes, they’re the things you go back to.
And if you’re anything like me…
You’ll keep circling, highlighting, and growing every single time.
With Love,
Ayo 😊
