This is For You

Sometimes all you can let yourself do is dream

quietly

secretly

in the corners of your mind where no one can question you.

Sometimes, all you can let yourself do is want

softly

hesitantly

because wanting is its own kind of vulnerability.

And sometimes

all you can do

is feel

without logic

without explanation

without trying to protect yourself from the truth of it.

This

right here

is me feeling.

This one

is for you.

....

They walk into the room

The door closes

and the air changes completely

She turns to him

He turns to her

And it feels like gravity has been waiting for this exact second

She steps closer

he follows

like his body remembers a promise his mind hasn’t spoken yet

She looks at him

really looks at him

like she’s finally seeing the face she missed in silence

in distance

in longing

Her heart is loud

his is louder

and the tension between them feels like its own heartbeat

She reaches for him

pulls him gently closer

picking up a moment they left unfinished

picking up a feeling she never truly let go of

He doesn’t resist

doesn’t blink

just stands there

breathing her in

Then she kisses him

slow

soft

like she wants to memorise him with her lips

and he holds her

tight

like he’s been waiting to hold her for far too long

She melts into him

lets herself feel him

fully

completely

without fear

without hesitation

And then

in the middle of that closeness

She steps back

just a little

Wait

she whispers

And she laughs

because she can’t believe this moment is real

can’t believe she’s here

With the person she loves

With the person, her whole heart bends towards

With the person who feels like a dream, she somehow won

She tells him to give her a second

and she disappears behind the door

She’s planned this

imagined this

practised this with her heartbeat

She steps into the black lace

the one that gave her courage

the one that felt like yes

deep in the back

soft at the front

a little daring

a little shy

entirely her

She oils her skin

slow strokes

slow breaths

trying to steady the nerves dancing under her ribs

She checks the mirror

And she looks perfect

glowing

terrified

beautiful

She steps out

quietly

And he stops breathing

He wasn’t expecting this

not her wrapped in lace

not her trembling and confident at the same time

not her looking like a vision, she didn’t know she was becoming

She almost hides

almost runs back

because the way he looks at her

makes her feel like the room is too small

And the moment is too big

But she loves it

loves being seen like that

loves being wanted like that

loves the softness in his hunger

He walks toward her

slow

measured

almost reverent

He leans in

whispers something in her ear

and her smile breaks

small

dangerous

inviting

He kisses her neck

gently

then slowly follows the path of the lace

as if the fabric itself is leading him

as if her body is a map

She feels everything

the shiver

the warmth

the goosebumps rising like tiny confessions

She runs her hands down his back

to his thighs

fingers tracing fire

feeling his breath change

She feels the nervousness

the wanting

the electricity humming through both of them

She wants all of it

the closeness

the heat

the surrender

to be held

to hold

to be consumed

and to consume him right back

This is the moment she waited for

longed for

imagined

and now

She’s finally in it

finally living it

finally letting it take her.

With Love

Abii ❤

Just to see You

This morning was chaos in the most ridiculous, beautiful way.

This is for you - Part 2

She’s weak in the knees She pauses

Tired, stretched, challenged… but still here

The quote is in Yoruba-English.   Ayo: When people talk about resilience, they imagine it as this superhuman ability to never get tired, to keep going without breaking a sweat.
