Fall Into Style: My Cozy Prep for the New Season 🍂

The mornings are getting cooler, the air feels crisper, and pumpkin spice everything is creeping back onto menus, which means fall is officially around the corner. I don’t know about you, but I like to ease into each season with a little refresh, both practical and stylish. Here are some of the things I’ve been doing to prepare for fall (plus a few extra ideas you might love, too!).

1. Fresh Coats, Fresh Start 🧥

I’ve sent all my coats to the dry cleaners because nothing feels better than starting fall with outerwear that’s fresh, clean, and ready to go. A good coat can instantly elevate your look, and I want mine to look (and smell) brand new as the season begins.

2. Boot Season is Back 👢

Fall = boots. Every year, I like to add one new pair to my collection. There’s just something about having a new boot that makes the season feel exciting again. I’ve been browsing around for the perfect pair. Classic, chic, but still comfortable enough to walk around town in. Im so torn between comfort and style.

3. Hunting for The Coat

While out and about today, I spotted a coat that completely stole my heart. I’m seriously considering making it mine. I’ll leave the link below so you can see why I fell in love. (Is it just me, or do coats feel like the signature piece of fall?). Absolutely loved this Trench coat.

4. Skincare Switch-Up

With cooler air comes drier skin. My skin tends to get very dry in the fall, so I stocked up on a rich cream to keep it hydrated and smooth (link below). Nothing worse than those sneaky white patches on your skin when the cold sets in! My go-to this season is La Roche-Posay MoisturiserTATCHA Dewy Cleanse + Hydrate, L'Occitane almond shower oil, and  Kiehl’s Crème de Corps

5. Lip Care Must-Haves 💄

Thanks to my friend Yetty, I discovered the magic of a good lip scrub and lip balm last fall, Paula’s Choice and my Vaseline. They are now non-negotiables in my bag. This combo keeps my lips soft and hydrated all season long, and I’ll definitely be repeating it again this year.

6. Cardigan & Cashmere Refresh

Fall is basically cardigan season, isn’t it? This year, I’m adding a few more cashmere pieces to my collection.  My palette for the season: caramel, rich chocolate brown, deep cocoa, and crisp white (because I’ll always love white). Expect to see me wrapped up in cosy, warm shades.

A Few Extra Fall Prep Ideas 🍁

  • Scent-swap: Bring in candles or diffusers with warmer, cosier scents — think vanilla, amber, cedarwood, or pumpkin spice.

  • Kitchen refresh: Stock up on teas, hot chocolate, and soup bases for those chilly evenings.

  • Wardrobe check: Transition lighter summer clothes out and reorganise your closet so fall staples are front and centre.

  • Self-care toolkit: Add a thicker hand cream and maybe even a facial oil to your routine — your skin will thank you.

  • Seasonal tradition: Plan something small that makes you look forward to fall every year (a trip to the pumpkin patch, baking apple pie, or even just a movie marathon).

Fall is about slowing down, layering up, and finding beauty in cosy little details. I’d love to hear the one thing you’re doing to prepare for fall this year.
