When You are Away - Day 8

Maybe it’s all in my head
this whole story I’m spinning
Maybe you’re just a man
being kind to a girl,
and I’m setting myself up
for a heartbreak.

Or maybe you’re pretending
And I am the love of your life

I keep circling this thought:
that the truth sits somewhere between
your silence and your slip-ups,
between the way you look at me
and the way your words retreat.

Do you even realise what you’ve done?
The way you’ve reshaped my days,
made me believe in something
I swore I was too old, too wise,
too careful to feel again.

If I’m wrong,
Then let the silence save me.
But if I’m right
Neither of us is ready
for what comes next,
and yet, here we are,
on the brink.

Not sure how it all started, here is the story of how it all began.

Just to see You

This morning was chaos in the most ridiculous, beautiful way.

This is for you - Part 2

She’s weak in the knees She pauses

Tired, stretched, challenged… but still here

The quote is in Yoruba-English.   Ayo: When people talk about resilience, they imagine it as this superhuman ability to never get tired, to keep going without breaking a sweat.
