The Hybrid Hustle: 10 Things I Do to Get Ready for Office Day

Wednesdays are becoming my favourite day because it's the one day I make it into work.

Not many know I mostly work from home and only go into the office once a week, so getting ready feels like a whole production!

  1. I'll try on about 10 outfits before finally settling on the ‘perfect’ one… and sometimes, I still wake up on Wednesday morning and change my mind last minute πŸ˜‚. Yes, the indecision is real  πŸ‘—πŸ€·‍♀️
  2. Sort out my work bag like it’s a survival kit: AirPods, sticky notes,  notepad, Vaseline, Hand cream, sunglasses (summer essential), and a spritz of my favourite perfume πŸ’ΌπŸ§΄πŸ˜Ž
  3. Whip up spaghetti for the boys because hungry kids = no peace πŸπŸ™…‍♀️
  4. Pack the boy’s things for Wednesday like a mini logistics expert. Otherwise, I’m guaranteed a call asking where the shoes or water bottles are.πŸŽ’πŸ—‚️
  5. Charge my car so I’m not stuck playing roadside DJ πŸš—πŸ”ŒπŸŽΆ
  6. Pick the tea cup that matches my mood (yes, I am that extra)  ☕✨
  7. Make sure my business card is tucked somewhere safe — gotta network, even on work days! πŸ’³πŸ€
  8. Do a quick pep talk in the mirror. “You’ve got this, superstar.” πŸ’‍♀️✨
  9. Sneak in a last-minute scroll through my favourite playlist to pick the perfect commute soundtrack, currently loving Minister Dunsin Oyekan, and I listen on maximum volume  🎧🎡
  10. Apply mascara — but only once I step out of the car on Wednesday morning, because smudge-proof magic is real πŸ‘️‍πŸ—¨️πŸ’„

Ready to take on Wednesday office day like the boss I am! πŸ’₯πŸ˜‰

Just to see You

This morning was chaos in the most ridiculous, beautiful way.

This is for you - Part 2

She’s weak in the knees She pauses

Tired, stretched, challenged… but still here

The quote is in Yoruba-English.   Ayo: When people talk about resilience, they imagine it as this superhuman ability to never get tired, to keep going without breaking a sweat.
